Red Whiskered Bulbul

As usual when I was wondering near my small garden at home, I saw two birds flying around. I speculated that they might have built their nest somewhere close by. To my curiosity I started observing them I found out the nest in a hibiscus plant. Later I found out that they are Red Whiskered Bulbuls and are feeding to their nestlings. These are very common birds found in the city. They feed on berries and fruits supplemented by insects and nectar. Its scientific name is Pycnonotus jocosus. It is about 20cm (7 inches) in length.

Then I moved out get my camera to capture them. After much awaiting and several shots I could capture the best out of it.

I again went to home after two weeks. Still they were there and this time they were teaching young birds to fly.

Later juveniles learned flying and they flew away.

I did not see them again at my garden :(.
