Early in the morning I was trying to capture different flowers in various shooting modes. When I was trying that on the hibiscus flowers, a tiny colorful bird perched on the plant. Those were my earlier days of bird watching, so I could not identify the bird. Quickly captured few pictures before it flew away.

Red Vented Bulbul
Red Vented Bulbul belongs to the bulbul family. They are common garden birds with scaly brown plumage, red vent and black tufted head. Its call is very loud and cheerful. It is about 20cm in length. They feed mainly on fruits, petals of flowers, nectar and insects. The scientific name of the bird is Pycnotus cafer. These pictures were captured when the two Red Vented Bulbuls playing around a plant near my home.
